The next film in our series on the signatories of the 1916 Rising will be  Padraig Pearse.  He was the eloquent voice of the rising and first provisional President of the Irish Republic. The next film in our series on the signatories of the 1916 Rising will be Seán Mac Diarmada.  He was a member of the Gaelic League and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.  He was the key organizer of the volunteers and identified the talent of Padraig Pearse, Eamonn Ceannt and many others.  He has been described as "the mind of the rising".
