Each year several volunteers quietly work to cook meals for those who are less fortunate. The idea behind this cause is simple; offer a little help to those who are in need by providing them with a meal for Thanksgiving. Our goal this year is to provide 25 families with a complete Thanksgiving dinner and to do that we are asking for your help. We need turkeys, hams, potatoes and canned goods such as vegetables and cranberry sauces or any other appropriate items that would go with a Thanksgiving dinner. We are aware that some of the supermarkets are giving away turkeys as part of a promotion, we hope you will consider donating one to help out a needy family. If donating food is not something you can do, we will also need drivers to deliver the meals on Thanksgiving day. If you can help us out with our cause please contact Bill Lee via email at mrwilliamlee@earthlink.net . Canned goods can be left at the Hibernian House anytime. We will schedule a time to receive the perishables once we have your contact information. All young people looking for community service are welcome as well. It is our hope and desire to provide this assistance to families within the community, if you know of a family who is in need and would appreciate this donation, please forward their information to us or, if you prefer, simply let us know that you will be accepting and delivering the meal and we will make it happen.
