Welcome aboard to new members Tim Sweeney and Greg Freeman. Our next meeting will be held on Friday, November 15 at 8m. Congrats to the Ladies AOH Div.3 on running a very successful Dancing Like the Stars fundraiser. The pub football party was once again a great success. We managed to raise a sizeable donation to the O’Hara Family as well as $250+ for the girls food drive. Many thanks are in order for Sean Walsh, Mike O’Sullivan, Tommy Healy, Dennis Madigan, Bucky, John Gannon, Kevin Donahue, John & Eileen Crilley, Pete Dunne, Mike Dempsey and anyone else who pitched in that I may have missed. All of these folks contributed one way or another including cooking, cleaning, organizing, serving or lifting the load in some other way. That is what made the day a success and thanks to all of them for a great day.
Dan Callanan reports the following Good and Welfare News… A retraction is in order from last month’s report, Mike Smith did not suffer a stroke. It was another medical problem which has been corrected and he is good to go. Please keep Terry Baxter in your prayers who is recovering from a stroke right now at Helen Hayes and doing well. Congratulations to Craig Basler who is now a NYPD sarge, to Pete Connolly on the birth of his granddaughter Molly via his son Dennis. Gene Flood and Connie Smith both stopped by the pub and both are doing just fine. Pete Dunne is scheduled for a new knee to replace the one he damaged jumping out of perfectly good airplanes while serving our contry. Dermot and Joan Moore are off to Australia for their 30th wedding anniversary and to see their daughter who has been studying down there and their son Terence who has just finished his deployment in the Middle East with the USAF.
As always, please remember in your prayers our wounded warriors and their families.
Yours in Friendship, Unity & Christian Charity,
Dermot O’Connor Moore, President.
