Welcome aboard to new members Tom McEnery and Merrick Rhodes. Our next meeting will be held on Friday, November 19. We will have elections for Division Officers and then turn the floor over to Phil Sheridan for a Hibernian House discussion on important House improvements. Please see Phil’s letter in this newsletter for more details. At our last meeting we voted to raise our dues by $10 to meet the raise in our national dues. Our Senior Citizen’s Luncheon will be held on Saturday, November 20. Volunteers are asked to arrive at 9:30 am. If you haven’t done so yet, please support your Division by purchasing a Pot O’Gold raffle ticket and/or selling a few.
Dan Callanan reports the following Good and Welfare news… Please say a prayer for the repose of the souls of Billy Ford’s mother-in-law Valerie Mirro, Tim Hanson’s father Rennold, and Mike and Bob Scully’s mom Ellen. A hearty welcome to the planet Earth is due to Jim and Mary Fitzgerald’s newest grand child Coleen Elizabeth. Some additional good news…Pete McGovern is doing very well after the removal of his brain tumor as is Billy Kenney after the removal of a tumor in his neck. Frank McCoy is progressing nicely undergoing chemo and radiation for spots on his lungs and Connie Smith’s surgeon provided the really good news that the removal of his tumor and part of his pancreas was very successful. Congratulations to John Lowry and Carmel Reilly, who were honored at the Rockland GAA dance.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and please don’t forget to say another prayer for our troops.
Yours in Friendship, Unity & Christian Charity,
Dermot O’Connor Moore, President
