The Emerald Ball was a huge success. Congratulations and many thanks to all those who worked so hard to make it such a memorable night.
Our sincere thanks go out to our local politicians in the NYS and Orangetown legislatures for issuing proclamations designating March as Irish American Heritage month, and to all those who participated in the protest rally against the sale of offensive products at the Palisades Mall. Please talk to your children and urge them not to denigrate themselves or their race by wearing any of this offensive paraphernalia.
Once again, the county will be providing a bus for members who wish to march with them in the city on March 16. It leaves the Cultural Center in Blauvelt at 11 am. Call Cy Hughes at 914- 804-7162 to reserve your seat. Line up for the city parade is on East 46th St., between Madison and Vanderbilt, at 1:20 pm. Please say a prayer for the repose of the soul of Can Dechon’s mom Marie, please keep praying for John Kennedy as he recovers from surgery at home and for John McElligott who is recovering at home after receiving a stent at Good Sam. As always, please remember in your prayers our wounded warriors and their families.
