Dan Callanan reports the following Good & Welfare news: Please pray for the peaceful repose of the soul of George Leahy’s fatherin-law William Lydecker, Jim and Kevin Harding’s mom Marilyn, and Ed McGuire
who was an active and influential member in the 80’s during the resurrection of Division 3. Best wishes go to Chris Gallagher who recently broke his ankle exiting the commuter train in Penn Station; to Bill McAndrews who spent a couple of days in Nyack Hospital after suffering a stomach blockage; to Gene Flood who suffered a bout of diverticulitus and has to now cut back on his favorite diet of chips, nuts, and pretzels; to Pat Crowe’s wife Anita who is recovering from a broken hip; and to Frank Motta who is recovering from a bout with double pneumonia. Please
pray for the safe return of John Hennessy’s grandson Christopher Coogan who is serving
in Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne.
Congratulations to Brian Gallagher and his bride on the birth of Madeline. Hats off to Mark Donnelly and his band of volunteers who placed over a thousand “Old Glories” on the graves of deceased veterans at St. Anthony’s cemetery for Memorial Day. It was nice to see that some of the adults brought
along their children to instill in them a sense of gratitude towards our heroes.
For those searching for Pat Finnegan, it’s been reported that he took his bride to Hawaii to light a votive candle at the supposed birthplace of his hero. He plans to visit Nairobi and Indonesia next to complete his pilgrimage.
Please keep our troops in your prayers and I wish you and your families an enjoyable and safe summer.
Yours in Friendship, Unity & Christian Charity,
Dermot O’Connor Moore, President
