Our next meeting will be held on Friday, April 23 at 8pm. At our March meeting we welcomed aboard new members Daniel Fogarty, Michael Keaveney, Edward Kirwan, Brendan O’Dea, and Frank Dailey. Congratulations to Pat Tully for running another successful Poker Classic and to Jack O’Connor, Larry DeGennaro, and crew for putting on a fantastic St. Patrick’s Senior Citizen’s luncheon. Many thanks to all who marched and helped with the parade, you did your Division proud! Our Mother’s Day breakfast will be on Sunday May 9. We will have the usual Sunday fare of eggs, bacon sausage, bangers, pancakes, cereal juice, coffee and tea. Any questions, please contact Jack O’Connor.
Dan Callanan reports the following Good & Welfare news: Please pray for the peaceful repose of Pete Engel’s sister Mary Sweeney and Mike Muderrig’s sister Maureen Armstrong. Mike and Bob Scully’s mom Eileen had a pacemaker installed and is doing fine at the tender age of 85. The Murphy’s are coming, the Murphys are coming! Pat and Charlie are the proud new grandparents of Kieran Thomas as presented by daughter Suzanne and her husband Tim Gravius and Jake Carter as a gift from son Brian and his bride Carolyn. Another addition to the planet comes by way of Denis and Bea Troy’s daughter Kathleen and her husband Glen’s adoption of Reilly Marie all the way from South Korea.  It is with great pleasure that we announce that our own Bill Hall is this year’s recipient of the prestigious Bernard Botein Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Administration of Justice. Our own Pat Finnegan was a previous winner of this award which was slightly tainted by unsubstantiated accusations of payola in his process. Even another member, Nick Doyle has purportedly hired a lobbying firm to pursue this goal for himself in the future. No justice, no peace.
Yours in Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity,
Dermot O’Connor Moore, President
