Please say a prayer for the peaceful repose of the following souls; Pat Holt’s father and Dermot Moore’s uncle Dr. Charles Holt, Bob Kreider’s brother Tom, Marty and Gerry Linnane’s mom Mary, Larry Connell’s mother Marge, and Tom Canty’s mother Mary. Congratulations are in order to John Madigan and bride Christine who presented their third daughter Grace to proud grandparents Jack and Charlotte, to new grandpa Pete Connolly with newborn Mary from daughter Kate and husband Larry, to Jack O’Connor whose new granddaughter Kaeleigh arrived via his daughter Kellie, to Harry Monaghan on the birth of son Darragh, and to John Murphy’s son Matthew who has been appointed Superintendent of the Rivervale School District.
The injury report is as follows: Warren Hennessey’s wife Mary health has regressed and is back in rehab, Jim Fitzmaurice’s bride Mary is being treated for a variety of maladies at Northern Manor Nursing Home in Nanuet, Mike Smith took a slip and fall into a handrail fracturing three ribs, John Boland also took a brodie and broke his wrist, and Buddy Bernhardt took advantage of an acupuncture service while on a cruise and said it felt really good except the Needleman left the tip of a needle in between Buddy’s toes. Carnival has offered him a never ending cruise in the new “Buddy Bernhardt Suite”. It’s been reported that Joe Burbridge is currently residing in an assisted living facility outside Orlando. I spoke with Joe Byrne recently and his court date in Dundalk is scheduled for October 20 … it seems that the Irish justice system is slow with many curves in the road.
