CALL FOR ACTION!

February 11, 2012 by Administrator

There are two bills to address the issue of Freedom of Conscience currently before the Senate and action is likely to be taken in the next day. The Blunt bill addresses the issue most specifically. The Rubio bill, while addressing the same issue, is not considered as effective. You should contact your Senators and tell them to support the Blunt Bill, not the Rubio Bill. Senator Rubio is also a co-sponsor of the Blunt Bill.

You can go to the following web site, http://www.catholicvote.org/discuss/index.php?p=25989, to find the specifics; a link there directs you to your Senators and Congressmen/women. Tell your Senators that you want them to support The Respect for Rights of Conscience Act or S.1467. There is a companion bill in the House; information about this bill is also contained on the web site. A copy of the content is attached for your information.
