Welcome aboard to new members Jim Gartshore, Sean Sorohan, Dan Muth, Kevin Sheehan, Brian Casey, Jim Davis, and Kevin Guy. Our next meeting will be held on Friday, October 26 at 8m. Many thanks go out to all the committee members who made Brendan Moore’s testimonial such a success. Congratulations to Sean Walsh, Mike O’Sullivan, John Crilley and crew for running a successful Pub Football Sunday with all proceeds going to the Lourdes Kids of Rockland.
Dan Callanan reports the following Good and Welfare News… Please say a prayer for the repose of the soul of Frank Moran. A get well prayer or two will be helpful for the following; Ray Gallagher came close to buying the ranch after pneumonia and a bout of sepsis so severe that the docs at Englewood Hospital called in a priest for Last Rites but a heavy dose of antibiotics pulled him back from the brink and he is now recovering at home, Professor Jim Whelan’s bride Joanne recovering well with her new knee, Frank Reilly spent a few days at Nyack Hospital with a severe infection and may need some work on his prostate, Mike Smith has shed a few pounds after suffering a stroke, Billy “Shrek” Ford is recovering well after spending a week at Good Sam with an arm infection, John Draper Jr. broke his ankle while stepping on a rake at the infamous “heart attack” third hole at the Psych Center golf course, Frank McDonagh’s bride Mary is scheduled for additional surgery, Jim Walsh wound up in the ER with a blood clot in his leg and is recovering at his new digs in Orangeburg, Warren Hennessey’s bride is on the mend after a month of rehab, and Bobby Toms is recovering from back surgery. Billy Kenny could really use extra prayers as he battles his third battle with the big C.
Congratulations are in order to Charlie Creamens on the marriage of his son CJ. A happy 77th birthday is due to Larry “Squire” McKeever and a 90th to Francis “Jarhead” Duffy.
As always, please remember in your prayers our wounded warriors and their families.
Yours in Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity,
Dermot O’Connor Moore, President
