Merry Christmas and a very happy and blessed New Year to you and your families. Welcome aboard to new members Tim Gavan and Sean Joyce. Congratulations to our own Vince Tyer on his well deserved election as Grand Marshal of the 2015 Rockland County St. Patrickâs Day Parade and many thanks go out to all our members for the outstanding presence at the meeting. At tremendous job was done once again at our Senior Citizensâ Luncheon. Thanks to chairmen Jack OâConnor and Larry DeGennaro as well as cooks Dan Callanan and Larry Connell and all the numerous volunteers and musicians. You are too numerous to mention but you all should all be proud of living up to the ideals of our motto. Our Christmas parties are on December 14th. The party for children with special needs is from 10 am to noon and our family party starts at 1pm. We need volunteers before, during and after so please let Frank McDonagh know if you can help out. December 21st is the final drawing for our Pot OâGold raffle so donât miss out on a chance to win 10 grand for Christmas, get your ticket now. Please support the Adopt a Family Fund Christmas Drive at the pub to make a Merry Christmas a reality for several local needy families. Stop by the pub now and drop off whatever donation you can in the envelopes provided. Itâs amazing how good it will make you feel!
Dan Callanan reports the following Good and Welfare news⊠Please continue your prayers for the recovery of Mary McDonagh, John Kennedy, Sean King, Mike Smith, Bobby Farrelly, and Terry Greenan. You can also add to your list John Taylor, who has a problem similar to COPD. Many thanks go out to all the members who volunteered at out annual Seniorsâ luncheon and to the high schoolers who earned their community service stripes. Special thanks go out to âPots and Pansâ man Jack Cunningham and âMaster Slicerâ Larry Connell. Vince Tyer stopped by the pub with his brother Todd on their way to scout out Yankee Stadium to put some hex in preparation for next yearâs run for the pennant against some team from Boston. Congrats to Kevin Bourke on his retirement from chasing parking scofflaws in bucolic Pearl River which was a serious letdown after chasing fires with the NYFD.
