It is somewhat strange that the media, which loves to tell stories of injustice, shies away from Ireland and its troubled history though there is plenty of material to chose from. One story in particular from Ireland’s past stands out as having all the elements that would make for a Hollywood Oscar winner, a story of a good man condemned by a government conspiracy using fraudulent evidence and the testimony of a man as evil as the victim is good. It is the story of St. Oliver Plunkett and Titus Oates.

Div III’s annual picnic will be held at Anderson Field on Saturday, Sept. 17, starting at 11 am. Anyone who has attended this feast before can tell you that it’s the best deal in town. There will be music by Roddy Harrington, fabulous food and drink all day, entertainment for the kids and much, much more. Rumor has it that Pete Dunne is working on a Dunk Tank this year where you might get a chance to dip your favorite bartender into the tank. Pre-pay Member family–$35.00, Single member–$20.00, Nonmember family–$45.00, single non-member–$25. There will be an extra $5.00 fee in each category for those that pay at the gate. Please drop your money off with one of the bartenders with your name and number of guests.
Annual Dinner Dance

Pot O’Gold Raffle

It’s that time of year once again where we turn to you for support as we begin to sell tickets for our annual raffle. Our “Pot O’ Gold” raffle is our main fundraiser and it is my hope that you will be able to assist us in support of our charitable donations, hall renovations, and annual scholarships by purchasing one of our $100.00 tickets, as you so generously did last year. As you know the bearer of the ticket and a guest are entitled to attend both of our drawing parties. In addition, you have an opportunity to win up to $11,000.00.
